Thirty minutes in the afterlife and a lifetime of dancing for joy
“It was twenty past seventeen when my heart stopped.”
The true story of Emmanuelle de Boysson, adapted from her novel “Un coup au cœur”.
This woman has just returned from a terrifying, wonderful journey: death.
A land where sensations and emotions are so intense that she puts off returning to earth.
The boundaries between the living and the dead become blurred.
Here, everything becomes play, hope, love, childhood and joy.
On stage, a woman, curled up in her nest, her soft, warm room.
In her chrysalis, like a butterfly, she spreads her wings. She takes our hands and tells us her story.
This woman has just returned from a long journey. She has had what is known as a near-death experience (NDE). Thirty minutes in the afterlife, thirty minutes she passionately shares with us. She made this journey to the edge. She’s lived it and felt it. The boundaries between the living and the dead become blurred, memory is cunning and plays tricks; here everything becomes play, hope, love, childhood and joy. The body takes on a new meaning, exulting in a sensitive, choreographed performance. Between light and shadow, carried away by haunting music, Carmen Vadillo delivers a troubling, deeply moving performance. This is the story of Emmanuelle de Boysson. Her heart stopped on February 7, 2022. Saved by her companion’s cardiac massage, the firefighters and the medical teams, she shares with us an almost unspeakable experience.
